As with all artists, I am captivated by ideas, especially those that reveal the humanity and potential of all peoples. They make demands, these ideas.  Some want a poem, some an illustrated story, some a song or a play. with or without puppets.  Essays will do, sometimes.

Drawing and performing come easily (my grandparents were Vaudevillians) but I have desperately needed and am deeply grateful for the guidance of many editors, teachers, directors, and mentors. Someday I will finish my Dreamkeeper novel. Meanwhile I work on the projects here waiting in the wings, and  try to do justice to new ideas which come to the window like friendly birds.

My husband, son and I live in the top of a lovely old Brownstone in Brooklyn. I help people out a few days a week in the local Christian Science Reading Room.

In case you wondered, Brooklyn, filled with neighbors who care for each other, who watch over children and pets, who love their parks, the shopkeepers and shops, the playgrounds and gardens--, is  paradise.
